Plan Your Visit

First time at Hope? Here is what to expect.

Relax, you are our guest.

Our heart is for you to feel relaxed when attending our church service. We have a connections team that will greet you at the front door and direct you where to go and if you have kids, where to take them. They can give you a tour of the buildings also if you would like this.

Where and when

Sunday 9:30am
3/23 Cemetery Road, Helensburgh

Hope Kids

Hope Kids provides a fun, safe, and age-appropriate environment for kids of all ages where they can learn about God and grow in their faith.

TIP: ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY

If you have kids, please arrive 10 minutes before the service to register. Registering your children helps to ensure child safety and gives us a way to contact you during the service if you are needed. Our team will be ready to greet you, check your kids in, and give you a tour of our Hope Kids area.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be pressured to do anything?

Absolutely not. Relax, and enjoy the service as our guest. Obviously, we welcome you to sing, participate in communion and pray if you would like but we do not want you to feel pressured to do anything.

Likewise, you will never be asked to stand up or stand out in any way. We want to do everything possible to make attending Hope Church for the first time as comfortable as possible.

Do I have to pay anything or give an offering?

Absolutely not. Our service is a gift to you. If you would like to give into what we are doing as a church, you can deposit these in a box labelled “Tithes & Offering” on the wall of our as you walk up the stairs to the auditorium and details will be provided in the service on how to give electronically.

How should I dress?
Most people dress in either casual clothing or smart casual. Please feel free to wear what is comfortable for you.
Do I have to raise my hands or stand during worship?
We encourage everyone to worship and participate however they feel comfortable. While some may lift their hands (sign of surrender) or close their eyes, there is no expectation for you to do so.
What happens after the service finishes?

At the end of most services an invitation will be made for people to come forward who would like prayer. Feel free to come forward and someone trusted from our leadership team will pray for you.

Most people grab a coffee or tea from our coffee van or downstairs and socialise with others. If you are visiting us for the first time, then we would love for you to have a barista made coffee free of charge. We are a friendly bunch who don’t take ourselves too seriously, so you are likely to enjoy this time.
