MOPS (Mothers of Pre Schoolers)

As mums we understand the unique needs, challenges and joys in this vital season of early mothering. MOPS stands for Mothers Of PreSchoolers and welcomes all mums with babies, toddlers and preschool children. A MOPS group is an open, accepting place for mums to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.
At a MOPS gathering, mums will hear speakers on relevant topics, share their hopes and experiences with other mums, and find friendship and encouragement in the early years of mothering.
MOPS is a two-hour program consisting of three main characteristics:
  • Welcome: MOPS is a place where you are accepted and valued, regardless of your personal experiences, background, birthplace, religion or age.
  • Meeting: Child-free time* for YOU. Together with other mums, in a fun setting, learn something new about mothering or being a woman. Hear a speaker, watch a video, be creative
  • Connection: Engage with other women, share experiences and dreams, explore ideas, have adult conversations, and discover friendships.
Mops runs every second week of the school term at 3/23 Cemetery Road, Helensburgh. Starting at 10am to 12:00pm. Sign in and Mopettes begins at 9:45am. The Cost is $7 per meeting or $30 per term (saving $5). Your first meeting is FREE!

Sue has also worked as an intervention support teacher in a preschool. All additional carers under the supervision of Sue have undergone interviews, reference checks and hold a working with children’s check. The carers have also been trained in our Child Protection policy.
